Mission
In an ancient land deemed holy by Jews, Christians, and Muslims, Israelis and Palestinians wage a modern war--a war that incites religious fervor and violence the world over.

Majorities of Israelis and Palestinians, however, desperately want peace with their neighbors. They are weary of raising their children in fear and insecurity. Yet they have failed to bring an equitable end to a decades-old conflict--a conflict that if left unchecked will further destabilize the entire region.

The Kairos Project believes that a unique window of opportunity may now exist to create a realistic peace in the Middle East. While conditions on the ground deteriorate and appear intractable, a new consensus is emerging among key players in the conflict that a solution must be urgently implemented. However, the United States must engage in a sustained and robust way in order to secure peace.

The Kairos Project seeks to educate American faith-based leaders and their communities of all political persuasions--the majority of the U.S. public--about the causes of and solutions to the modern conflict that ravages the Holy Land. We aim to deepen understanding not only of the Holy Land’s peoples and cultures but also of the vital U.S. interest in achieving a just and viable solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict while the opportunity still exists.

Ultimately, the Kairos Project hopes that its educational initiatives will meaningfully contribute to protecting and promoting the inviolable rights of both Israelis and Palestinians and securing the dignity and freedom of worship for the region’s vibrant Jewish, Christian, and Muslim communities.
